Our Vision For Ministry

We envision a place where everyone will explore the spiritual gifts, talents, abilities, and passions God has given them.  We hope to create an atmosphere of encouragement and discovery, where people will begin to catch a glimpse of what God has called them to do with their lives. 
We recognize that His call is unique and distinct in each individual. 


God can do mighty things through willing souls who actively seek His will, are obedient to that will, have received training and nurturing, and are filled to overflowing with His love.  Our hope is that God will, through us, create a climate where this will take place.  As a result, we will see Christ glorified and this church will become a birthing place for ministries to spread the good news of the hope and help of Jesus Christ.

Ministering Programs of Journey

Celebrate Recovery (For Recovering Addictions) - This is a support program that meets once a week for personal as well as biblical support for those who are faced with addictions of any kind.
Saturday evenings, 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at Journey Christian Church.

Bible Study
Stan Stephens is currently leading an informal Bible Study on Psalms. All are welcome to come join in the discussion and deepen their knowledge of God's word in the process.

JIVE---Wednesday Night Program for Kids
"Journey Below the Earth " is the theme of the Wednesday night classes for kids that will begin September 30, 2009.
Appropriate for Preschool Kids through 4th Grade, we meet from 6:00-7:30 p.m. each Wednesday evening.

Camino--Christian Retreat

People who take part in the Camino weekend come back changed.  It is amazing to see what the Holy Spirit and 24 hour support and encouragement for one weekend can do to a person. 
Next opportunity for Camino will be February 18-21 for the Guys...and February 25-28 for the Gals in Joplin, MO. Give it some thought. It's an experience you won't ever forget.
